Bass player and founder of Mezcla David Bowden joined ENRG presenter Iain Leggat for a chat before his bands performance at the Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival.

Graduating from The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2015 David has been a prominent player in the Glasgow jazz scene. Winner of the BBC Young Scottish Jazz Musician of the Year in 2017, he is now part of the award winning Fergus McCreadie Trio and co-leader of the contemporary jazz quartet Square One. His main musical focus is currently the acclaimed world/jazz fusion group Mezcla.
