What I Saw When Reading The Book

About The Author

Nicholas Sparks

Sparks was born in 1965, he is a world-class romance novelist and screenwriter. This talented author started writing after his mother suggested he should, which lead him to write his first (unpublished) story The Passing during his summer holiday in 1985. Sparks over time has become one of the most recognised writers in the world, with all of his books being New York Bestsellers and selling over 105 million copies. His stories have been published in over 50 different languages, giving him a massive international fanbase.

Several of Sparks’ books have been turned into movies, and like his novels the movies thrived hitting huge box office numbers. His most popular book was published in 1996, The Notebook added to the 75 million copies sold in the United States alone. Film adaptions include: The Notebook, The Longest Ride, Dear John, The Longest Ride & The Choice. His book The Rescue is wildly underrated, and deserves the same recognition his other novels have received.

Unlike Sparks’ other novels The Rescue has not been adapted for film, and quite possible never will be. However if there is a chance that one day it might become a movie, it is best to read the story before it does. If it doesn’t, it still makes for a fantastic read and worth the time. The book doesn’t need patience like other books, because it draws you in from the first page and is thrilling. So if you are looking for a romance novel, look no further and read The Rescue it will not disappoint.
