Thousands of people will flock to Glasgow Green this coming weekend. This time with big name bands, artists and with a few notable DJ’s; just in time to see out the last of Scotland’s summer weather.
It was all the way back in 2019 that Glasgow Green hosted the last instalment of TRNSMT. Due to the Coronavirus the 2020 festival was cancelled, but Scotland’s biggest music festival is back and better than ever.
Attendees this weekend will be treated to some of the biggest names in the indie/rock genres. This will include some new artists as well as old faces who have played at TRNSMT before such as Liam Gallagher, Sam Fender, Snow Patrol, Courteeners, Blossoms and many more.
But this wouldn’t be a Scottish music festival if there wasn’t a notable amount of big-name Scottish artists making an appearance. The Snuts, Primal Scream, Amy MacDonald to name only a few will be performing over the weekend. To add to the Scottish contingent, The Vistas and Twin Atlantic will also be making an appearance.

A first-class festival is not without its headliners and this year TRNSMT will not leave anyone disappointed. On the Friday night people will be entertained by Courteeners, on the Saturday the one and only Liam Gallagher will make an appearance and, on the Sunday night, the DJ duo the Chemical Brothers who are known for their tracks such as ‘Hey Boy Hey Girl’ and ‘Go’ will close out the festival with a bang.
This isn’t all that attendees will be greeted by this year with the addition of the Riverstage that will host some new and upcoming artists. There is also the ‘Boogie Bar.’ This will also have new and upcoming artists but will consist of DJs such as Testpress, Nightwave and Elisha. These stages will go alongside the usual main stage and also the famous King Tut’s Stage.
The festival has been in the works for over 2 years and just by looking at the line-up it will not disappoint. This will be the perfect end to the summer that people in Scotland are craving for, let’s just hope the weather holds up.
The festival will run from the 10th – 12th of September and will be hosted at Glasgow Green. For last minute tickets click here.
